Refrigerator Warranty Terms
360 Medical Inc. | Coverage upgrade effective October 1, 2026 | Version October 27, 2026
1 Eligibility and start date
360 Medical Inc. provides this limited warranty to the original purchaser of a new refrigerator purchased in Canada from 360 Medical or an authorized Canadian distributor on or after October 1, 2026. Accucold is excluded and retains its model-specific warranty. Freezers, ULT freezers, combination refrigerator-freezers, warmers, accessories and used, refurbished, demonstration or open-box equipment retain the warranty expressly provided at sale.
All coverage periods begin on the date the original purchaser receives the refrigerator, as shown by delivery records. Keep the invoice and delivery confirmation. Coverage applies to defects in materials or workmanship during normal use in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Coverage is not transferable unless 360 Medical agrees in writing or applicable law requires otherwise.
2 Coverage periods
| Coverage | What 360 Medical provides |
|---|---|
| Parts | 5 years | Repair or replacement of covered defective parts, at our option. |
| Labour | 1 year | Authorized diagnosis and labour necessary to remedy a covered defect. |
| Compressor | 10 years | Replacement of a covered defective compressor component. Labour coverage ends after year one; other parts coverage ends after year five. |
| Full unit replacement | 1 year | A full replacement refrigerator when a covered refrigerant leak or compressor failure occurs within the first year and is verified by 360 Medical or its authorized service provider. |
3 First year replacement assurance
For a qualifying first-year refrigerant leak or compressor failure, we will replace the refrigerator in full at no cost to you. This is a replacement remedy; a repair will not be substituted without your agreement. Other covered defects receive the parts and labour remedy described above.
The replacement will be the same model or, if unavailable, a new equivalent model with comparable capacity, intended use and temperature performance agreed with you. We will arrange and pay for verification, replacement delivery, removal or return of the failed refrigerator, and the service reasonably necessary to complete the exchange at the original delivery site. No restocking or return-freight charge applies to an approved warranty replacement.
Replacement does not include customer-requested upgrades, relocation to a new site, building alterations or new electrical work. We will explain and obtain agreement to any optional charge before work begins. We will coordinate timing with you; this warranty does not promise immediate replacement, a loan unit or uninterrupted operation.
4 Costs after the first year
After year one, parts and compressor coverage do not include diagnosis, labour, travel, freight, refrigerant, recovery, charging or other service materials. During years two through five, covered defective parts remain included; during years six through ten, only the covered compressor component remains included. We will disclose and obtain your approval of customer-payable costs before arranging chargeable work. Mandatory legal rights and any more favourable written sales commitment remain unaffected.
5 How to request service
Contact 360 Medical at 1-800-209-2082 or info@360medical.ca. Provide your invoice or other proof of purchase, model and serial number, delivery date, site address, contact details and a description of the problem. Include error codes, photographs and temperature records where available. Please do not send patient information or other sensitive clinical records.
Contact us promptly after discovering a fault. We will assess the claim and authorize a service provider or return where appropriate. Obtain our written authorization before commissioning reimbursable repairs, returning the unit or disposing of claimed parts. Keep claimed parts available for inspection. A timely reported covered failure is not rejected solely because our diagnosis or service occurs after the coverage period ends.
6 Owner responsibilities
Install, operate and maintain the refrigerator according to its manual, including electrical supply, ventilation, ambient conditions, loading and cleaning requirements. Provide reasonable service access. Keep temperature monitoring, alarm response and backup storage procedures appropriate to the materials stored. If temperatures move outside acceptable limits, follow your facility’s storage and handling procedures and contact us; do not wait for a warranty decision before protecting the contents.
7 Exclusions
This limited warranty does not cover routine maintenance, routine calibration or validation, cleaning, defrosting or adjustments unrelated to a covered defect. It excludes normal wear and consumables such as filters, bulbs and batteries, and cosmetic damage that does not affect operation. Defects in otherwise covered components are not excluded merely because a component is glass, a gasket or a seal.
It also excludes damage or failure caused by misuse, accident, improper installation, inadequate maintenance, incorrect voltage, power surges, fire, flood or other external events. Modification or unauthorized repair excludes only the damage or failure it causes. We must be able to establish the equipment’s identity; an unreadable serial label may require alternative proof. Delivery damage should be reported promptly under the shipping process; this does not eliminate rights concerning a defect present at delivery.
8 Repairs and replacement periods
Repair or replacement does not restart the original warranty periods. The remaining original coverage applies to replacement equipment and covered parts, subject to any longer period required by law or expressly agreed in writing. For defects other than those qualifying for first-year replacement, we may repair or replace the affected part or equipment as appropriate.
9 Stored contents and legal rights
This limited equipment warranty does not insure or reimburse vaccines, medications, specimens, reagents or other stored contents, business interruption, lost profits or other indirect or consequential losses, to the extent permitted by law. It does not guarantee that stored contents will remain usable during an equipment failure. It does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
This warranty adds to applicable statutory rights and does not limit any non-waivable warranty, remedy or protection. More favourable written sales commitments remain effective. For purchases from October 1, 2026 before this version was published, the coverage upgrade applies alongside the original sales terms; these detailed conditions do not reduce those commitments. Earlier purchases retain the warranty supplied at sale unless we extend coverage in writing. Website changes do not retrospectively reduce coverage. This specific warranty prevails over conflicting general website terms, subject to applicable law.
